I’m so delighted to be joining the community at Sellwood Yoga and to share the practice of Yoga Nidra with you.
I first encountered Yoga Nidra during my teacher training in Kathmandu, and it had an immediate impact on me. As someone who has experienced insomnia, this practice became a source of deep, reliable rest—something that felt not just physical, but soulful. It opened a doorway into a kind of ease I hadn’t known before.
I’ve been a student of yoga for over 25 years and teaching for the past 8. Over time, my work has expanded into Ayurvedic wellness counseling and holistic skincare, which I practice at my studio, Marma Holistic, in NW Portland. My approach is centered around nervous system balance, well-aging with gratitude, and caring for the skin as an extension of caring for the whole being.
Yoga Nidra is a natural extension of this work. It’s a guided meditation practice that weaves together intention, breath awareness, body sensing, and visualization to help the body rest deeply while the mind remains gently aware. It’s incredibly supportive for sleep, stress, and overall restoration—and it also has a subtle way of reconnecting you to your intuition and inner vitality.
Outside of teaching, my life is full and joyful—I have four beautiful daughters, and I love long walks, traveling, hiking, reading philosophy, watching French cinema, making ice cream, creating art, and spending time in my garden. I deeply value connection, nature, and celebrating life with friends and family.
It truly feels special to be part of this space. I can’t wait to meet you and share this practice together.
