Instructor — Christine Morita-McVey

Christine began practicing yoga because her climbing gym offered a free class to members. An ongoing love of arm balancing postures quickly followed.  Over the next several years, she also fell in love with the calm and focused presence that stems from a regular yoga practice. While still thrilled with the challenge and exhilaration of handstands and crow variations, she now also appreciates the quiet sense of well-being that yoga fosters both on and off the mat.  In her yoga classes, Christine aims to create a playful, fun place for exploration and adventure.

She completed her 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training with Michele Loew and Rosie Acosta and is an NASM Certified Personal Trainer. Currently, Christine is pursuing a post baccalaureate degree in Applied Health and Fitness. In addition to yoga, she offers strength and stability classes.

Outside of the studio, Christine spends her time gardening with Pacific Northwest native plants and can often be found staring at greenery in botanical gardens and local nurseries.  She also enjoys cooking, hiking and CrossFit. She believes that consistent, regular exercise, in whatever way that brings satisfaction and joy to you, is central to a good quality of life.
