Instructor — Amanda Denning

Amanda Denning started practicing yoga in 2008, shortly before moving to Portland, and quickly realized the transformational power it has to offer. She has maintained a consistent personal practice ever since. She began teaching in March of 2016, in order to more fully share the benefits of yoga she’s witnessed in her own life, both on and off the mat.

She approaches her personal practice with youthful curiosity, creative sequencing, and an emphasis on mind-body-breath connection, all of which are exhibited in her teaching style. She highlights structure and safety, while also instilling accessibility via choice, exploration, and a sense of humor.

An advocate of body positivity, mindful movement, and meditation, she believes that our mat work is the training ground for a deeper connection to our subtle selves, empowering us to approach all other aspects of our everyday lives with more peace, compassion, and balance.
