20 hours of in person classroom exploration of the intersection of Psychology and Yoga. Expect to learn about the deeper philosophical constructs that guide the yoga practice; yogic ideas that appear in modern psychological thought; and how your yoga practice can benefit your mental and emotional health. We’ll look at the workings of the nervous system and how yogic practices can help regulate and soothe a dysregulated nervous system. We’ll spend time in lecture learning the concepts, then as a group we will move and breathe to practice all the techniques in our own bodies.
