Summer Solstice Yoga Image
Treat yourself to an evening respite to honor the approach of summer (in 2017, the Summer Solstice will occur on Tuesday, June 20th). In this special extended class, we will gather by candlelight and move through a slow, mindful vinyasa flow sequence before melting into a cooling and nourishing restorative practice.

The Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year. Internal inquiry toward gratitude, blessings, and abundance will help to connect us to this season of vitality, vibrancy, brightness and light.

Don’t miss out on Sellwood Yoga’s tradition of honoring equinoxes and solstices through celebratory yoga practices. The classes are lovely ways to connect to the rhythms of the year, to our wonderful community, and to your truest self.

Claire Wilde found yoga after a spinal fusion surgery at age 12 left her feeling hopelessly disconnected from her body. Linking breath with movement, exploring her body’s abilities, and getting comfortable with its limitations allowed her to come back home to herself. She delights in holding space for other people’s explorations of their own unique body-minds, and her classes are relaxing, meditative, and deeply nourishing.

Claire completed her 200-hour Teacher Training in March 2016 at Sellwood Yoga, and she completed her Kids Yoga Teacher Training with Annie Kobliska-Becker and Rosey Wyland in 2013. She is also a labor doula, and especially enjoys working with children, families, and people in any stage of the childbearing year. You can learn more at www.everywheredoula.com.
