Why is the trip in October?
With Sicily’s rising popularity, especially after being featured in the recent season of ‘The White Lotus’, tourism has surged in recent years. Visiting Sicily in October offers a blend of pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and vibrant cultural experiences, making it an ideal time for those seeking a more authentic and comfortable travel experience. In October the temperatures are typically in the 70s (Fahrenheit), ideal for outdoor activities and sightseeing without the extreme heat of summer.
If the retreat is offered again, will the prices be the same?
Should we decide to offer this retreat in the future, it is likely that the costs will be higher. This is due to the overall trend of rising travel costs in Sicily and Italy in general. Recent data shows that accommodation and restaurant prices in Italian cities, including Sicilian destinations, have seen significant increases (an average of 13.6% for accommodations since May 2022). Additionally, the overall travel cost in Sicily, including expenses for accommodation, food, local transportation, and sightseeing, has been steadily rising.
