DAY TWO: Syracuse Discovery with Private Boat Ride in the Bay of Ortigia

Start your morning with a yoga class and leisurely breakfast.

Join our English-speaking guide to set off on a 5-hour adventure in Syracuse. Enjoy a scenic boat ride around Ortigia Bay with a glass of Italian prosecco in hand. The guided adventure concludes at the vibrant city market, where you’ll sample an array of Sicilian street food, immersing yourself in the local flavors and market buzz. After the trip to the market, the rest of the evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

DAY THREE: Wine Tasting at the Renowned Pupillo Winery

Start your morning with yoga and breakfast at the hotel.

Later in the morning, we will head to the Pupillo Winery. Established in 1908, this winery is located in a valley once known as the Feudo della Targia. It’s famous for the Friederich Castle and its fertile soil. For more than two decades, Nino Pupillo has been working to restore the vineyards of Moscato di Siracusa, a long-lost wine from this region.

The Pupillo Winery provides a unique experience that combines wine, history, and nature. The winery tour includes the Solacium Castle, Baglio delle Torri, intimate Baglio dei Ricordi, ancient Palmento, and the Historic Garden. Cap off your visit with a wine tasting in the historic winery, complemented by traditional Mediterranean dishes.

Return to the resort after the visit to Pupillo Winery to enjoy your evening.

Meals included: breakfast and lunch. Dinner on your own.

DAY FOUR: Mount Etna and Taormina

Today, we will set off on a long, full-day excursion to explore Europe’s largest active volcano, Mount Etna, and Sicily’s most famous tourist resort, Taormina

The visit to Mount Etna will be to the northern side of the volcano, the least touristy and also the greenest, as it is covered by thick pine forests. Enjoy a scenic walk while learning about the volcano’s history and geology. Afterward, head to the charming town of Taormina, about an hour’s drive away. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to explore independently, enjoy lunch at one of the many local eateries, and experience the town’s “dolce vita” lifestyle. Don’t miss visiting the famous Roman/Greek amphitheater, offering stunning views and rich history.

Meals included: breakfast. Lunch and dinner on your own.

DAY FIVE: Cooking Class and Noto Discovery

Start your morning with yoga and breakfast at the resort.

We will then head to La Corte del Sole for an authentic Sicilian cooking class. This picturesque farm offers a hands-on culinary experience with experienced chefs Rosario Vaccarisi and Lorenzo Insolia. From 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, delve into the art of creating traditional Sicilian dishes like pasta alla Norma, arancini, and cannoli, culminating in a delightful tasting of your own creations.

Post-lunch, explore the town of Noto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site acclaimed as the “stone garden” and the “capital of Sicilian baroque.” Immerse yourself in its rich artistic and historical heritage, marveling at the exquisite baroque architecture that defines this area.
