Treat yourself to an evening of rejuvenation with the healing, releasing and relaxing combination of Restorative and Yin Yoga combined with Reiki (a form of therapeutic healing using light touch).
During this 2-hour class, Denise and Ariel (both certified yoga instructors and Reiki practitioners) will guide and adjust you through restorative and yin yoga poses while using therapeutic Reiki to help deepen your experience. Visualization, mindfulness, and sound healing are also used to enhance the practice.
Class size for this special event is always limited to 15 people. Please register in advance.
Instructor — Ariel Millihart
Ariel Millihart is a LA/Seattle based healer and artist who feels so blessed to return home to magical Portland. Ariel is a certified yoga instructor (2007, Yoga Union) and Reiki Master (2012, Northwest Healing Studio) and loves to integrate the two for a deeper practice, emotionally and physically. Ariel is excited to share her Reiki (energy) flow with the Sellwood Yoga community in select classes. Ariel also offers unique private healing sessions that incorporate a variety of tools such as Reiki, sound therapy, art, essential oils and crystal work. Ariel is passionate about sharing energy work and is the co-founder of “U:nite” a not for profit group that hosts public alternative healing events. Denise Gour’s therapeutic focus helps people reduce their stress and learn to navigate adversity with more self-compassion, clarity and ease. She has over 15 years of experience working in Portland with adults and families facing complex issues related to parenting, family and relationships, adult children of impaired parents, recovery from addictions, aging, grief and loss, career shifts, physical injury and illness, and the associated symptoms of depression and anxiety. She also offers presentations and trainings for health care providers, schools, and businesses interested in using mindfulness and stress reduction skills in the workplace.
