In today’s world teens are under more pressure and experiencing higher levels of stress than ever before. With increasing demand in technology, academic stress and life transitions, it can be a difficult to find time and energy to connect as a family.
This workshop provides the space for a much needed recharge, both for teen and parent. As we move through a series of deeply restorative and relaxing yoga postures you will be guided through meditation and visualization that focus on self healing, empathy, self confidence and being present. Learn techniques in breath work, movement, and mindfulness that can be integrated into your daily lives for a more balanced, connected and less stressed existence. Find a meaningful and calming practice that you can enjoy the benefits of as a family.
Limited to 14 students. $20 for 1 parent and 1 teen; $10 per person for any additional family members.
Instructor — Ariel Hart
Ariel Hart is a formerly LA/Seattle-based healer and artist who has recently returned to her magical roots here in Portland. Ariel is a certified yoga instructor (2007, Yoga Union) and a Reiki Master (2012, Northwest Healing Studio) and integrates the two practices to attain deeper levels of healing. Ariel offers weekly classes, workshops and private sessions that may incorporate a variety of therapeutic tools such as Reiki (energy healing), sound therapy, essential oil or herbal clearings, and charged stones/crystals. Ariel is passionate about sharing energy work and is the co-founder of “U:nite” a not for profit group in Seattle that hosted public alternative healing events.
