Your body made a human; that’s AMAZING! Now you’re learning to take care of that new human but it’s easy to forget about taking care of yourself in this process. That’s exactly why we created our Mom and Baby Workshops Series. These focused workshops are designed just for all you moms out there who want to have fun, stay fit, and don’t want to leave your little one behind.

Join me, Dr. Rachel, and other mamas the first Friday of every month. I promise that you’ll elevate your heart rate; learn to safely re-engage your postpartum core; and understand how to effectively squat, press, bend and swing with increased endurance, all while keeping your little one close by. All mamas who have gotten the thumbs up from their healthcare provider to exercise are welcome, as are children ages 6 weeks to 12 months (as long as you still feel comfortable wearing them while moving).

November 3rd – Lower Body Strength: Mom & Baby Got Back
December 1st – Understanding Your Postpartum Core: Beyond the Baby Belly
January 5th – Upper Body Strength: Babies & Biceps

Each workshop is designed as an individual module, so you can pick and choose your poison. Although, in my biased opinion, each clinic is of great value to us hard-working mamas.

Just bring yourself, your baby, a water bottle, a comfortable front wearing baby carrier that provides head support for your little one, and a sense of humor. We supply the needed equipment (weights, balls, bands, TRX…).

Dr. Rachel Sterry has been practicing as a physician with a focus in women’s health since 2009. Through these years she has maintained a strong connection to her background in nutrition, personal training, and yoga. After having a little one of her own in 2016, she has shifted her energy to focus specifically on pre and post natal care.

She has found that an essential part of her life as a new mom has been physical activities and community that are mom and baby friendly. In keeping with this, she is excited to be offering Baby Wearing Bootcamp classes in conjunction with her other FitMama programs. For more info go to FitMamapdx.com.
