Artist statement:

I’ve been wired as an artist all of my life. No joke. I see patterns, I see the sound of color; and conjuring images and new ideas engage me, as do the materials I choose to use in my work. And I like creating something out of nothing. The art processes are extremely informative as to who I am, where I find myself in the world, and they provide me the knowledge that creativity and imagination carries the mysteries and innate intelligence which for me demonstrates clarity, and creates a voice for those who seek. As I look at this new work, I continue to see wonder in nature, but also something beneath the expanding roots, holding other things deeply. Redux is a reintroduction to myself as an artist. As the Surrealists pursued their subconscious selves and their nocturnal dreams, so do I.

Bryan’s artwork will be on exhibit at the studio through August 2026
