In a world that moves fast and asks a lot from us, finding space to simply be can feel rare. This workshop offers a calm, welcoming environment where creativity and mindfulness meet. It’s not a traditional art class, and it’s not therapy—it’s a gentle experience inspired by the principles of art therapy.
You’ll learn simple, beautiful painting techniques that anyone can do, regardless of experience. We’ll start with a brief discussion on how art supports emotional wellness, followed by a short demo of suggested techniques and projects. Then we’ll dive into your own meditative holiday creations—gift tags, cards, place cards, and more. There will be plenty of time to connect with others throughout the process.
We’ll end by sharing reflections on the experience (sharing artwork is optional) and offering ideas for continuing a mindful art practice at home.
This workshop focuses on the process rather than a “perfect” finished product. Many participants are surprised not only by what they create, but by how peaceful and grounded they feel. Art can unlock emotions, encourage self-expression, calm the nervous system, and foster community—an often overlooked but powerful tool for wellness.
Creativity belongs to everyone. Whether you consider yourself artistic or not, you’ll find this experience accessible, relaxing, and rewarding. In today’s world connection can feel harder to come by, this is a chance to slow down, create, talk, laugh, and simply share space with others.
Whether you’re looking to unwind, rekindle your creativity, or enjoy a peaceful afternoon with like-minded people, we’d love you to join us on Sunday, December 7th 2:00-4:00pm. Sign up here here.
