“In meditation and in our daily lives, there are three qualities that we can nurture, cultivate, and bring out. We already possess these, but they can be ripened: precision, gentleness, and the ability to let go.” – Pema Chodron

Lana Vilches is a passionate yoga instructor with over a decade of experience, specializing in hatha and restorative yoga. Based in Portland, Oregon, she holds an RYT 200 certification from Three Sisters Yoga and has completed specialized training in trauma-informed yoga and restorative practices. Lana is deeply committed to the power of mindfulness and believes in its transformative ability to bring balance and peace into our lives. Lana’s yoga journey began in Long Beach, California, where she used yoga to manage the stress of balancing work and school. As an Early Childhood Educator, she introduced yoga to her Pre-K classroom, incorporating playful sequences, mindfulness breathing techniques, and visualization to enhance her students’ well-being. After moving back to Portland in 2008, Lana expanded her teaching to include disadvantaged youth through certifications with Street Yoga and Imagination Yoga. Her teaching style is enriched by her experience working with diverse communities, making her classes both compassionate and inclusive.

Lana’s classes are a blend of hatha and restorative yoga, designed to nourish the body and mind, helping students find a deeper connection to themselves and a sense of inner calm. Outside the studio, Lana enjoys an active lifestyle, embracing the joy of movement through hiking, biking, running, and salsa dancing.
