Annie Kobliska Becker

Annie is passionate about yoga and the healing benefits of mindfulness-based practices. Her mother shared the gift of yoga and taught her to do sun salutations as a little girl. Annie has warm memories of listening to her link breath with movement, her love of yoga was one of the many jewels she passed on. Annie is a Yoga Alliance Certified yoga teacher and offers deep bows of gratitude to her teachers on this path including Janet Stone, Max Strom, Shana Celnicker-Chong and her sister, Rosey Wyland.

She holds certifications in hatha and vinyasa yoga, prenatal yoga, yoga for children and youth and trauma-informed practices. Annie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and believes in practicing service and seva in all forms. She infuses gentle messages of healing, releasing and restoring the body and mind into all her classes.

Annie has had the honor of working with several yoga service organizations including Street Yoga and The Art of Yoga Project and she currently brings yoga and mental health supports to schools. She is inspired by the ways in which yoga provides tangible and transferable skills that facilitate the development of greater health and empowered well-being.

She completed a 500-hour teacher training program with Janet Stone in 2013 and is dedicated to ongoing studentship and it’s opportunities for growth and learning. Her newest teachers come in the form of two sweet little ones. Annie aspires to live and teach with tenderness, compassion and a great deal of heart.
