Tasha Roth is a lifelong yogini born and raised in Port Townsend, WA. She developed a love for yoga as a child growing up with her yoga family. She has an ongoing practice with her Port Townsend teacher, Colleen Swantner, as well as her Yin Yoga instructor, Leah Adams. Tasha studied fine arts and received a BA in Photography from Parsons The New School for Design in 2007. She completed her first 200 hour YTT with Yoga Sutra RYS in New York City in 2008. Her recent studies include Yin Yoga Level 1 certification from Innerland Magic in 2025. She continues to draw inspiration from her personal practice and the natural world.
Outside of teaching, Tasha enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and their pup. Tasha loves traveling, creating photographs, exploring sunny beaches, and wooded trails. She enjoys stand-up paddleboarding, swimming, and hiking. Her photographic work is continually inspired by the outdoors and a sense of connection to place.
Students can expect to experience a balance of strengthening, lengthening and relaxation in Tasha’s classes. Her Vinyasa to Yin yoga classes draw from a foundation in Ashtanga yoga and her love of Yin. Her classes include a playful vinyasa sequence, paired with uplifting music, followed by a Yin Yoga series to finish. Classes begin with meditation and end with guided relaxation. Her yoga classes include her interests in the transformative power of breath practices and musculoskeletal mobility for life. Tasha’s offerings are welcoming, accessible, and suitable for students of all levels and ages.
