Yoga Styles:
Mindful Yoga and Meditation
End the workweek and ease into the weekend. Each class will begin with approximately 20 minutes of gentle yoga and stretching. The sequence of poses will help to dissipate stiffness and create greater ease. The yoga portion will start with some centering and grounding poses, flow into some hip openers and gentle stretches, include a balance pose (for focus and concentration) and then move into meditation.
The meditation part of the class will offer practices that vary weekly and include sitting, walking, breath, and using the 5 senses. Depending on the experience of the class, meditations will vary between short (10 minute) and longer sits (20-30 minutes).
The last 10 minutes will be for discussion and questions.
