Afternoon of Mindfulness Retreat

An “Afternoon of Mindfulness” retreat welcomes everyone interested in learning and practicing the basics of mindfulness meditation. Whether you are a beginner or a more experienced meditation practitioner, the retreat promises to inspire and re-connect you to a more grounded sense of ease and well-being.
Yoga bolsters, mats and other props are all provided.
Guided practice CD’s will also be available for purchase at the training.
What to Bring – a light lunch that does not require refrigeration or heating up. We will begin with mindfully eating lunch in silence in the studio or outside (weather permitting).
What to Wear – dress in comfortable clothes. Bring weather appropriate outerwear for walking outside (if the forecast is clear, we may be outside for part of the afternoon).
About Mindfulness Meditation: Mindfulness is an intentional, non-judgmental approach to paying attention to all that life offers – the good, the bad, and all the in-between. Workshop activities include formal and informal practices drawn from the 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course, developed by author/researcher Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn.
