Teachers:
Nathan Mills

Nathan Mills began studying Yoga at the age of 12 while working at a retreat center for the Yogic and healing arts in the beautiful mountains of Montana.
At the same age he began his study of the Martial Arts under the patient instruction of Shihan Dennis Dallas.
Born handicapped with a leg discrepancy of over 3 inches Nathan approached these practices patiently and thoughtfully. With the encouragement of his teachers Nathan meticulously found ways to modify these practices to suit his body. After much adversity and several surgeries he quickly began to see the valuable benefits of these art forms and the amazing changes both practices were evoking in his body and mind.
After high school Nathan periodically lived up at the expanding light center in Northern California where he was inspired by the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda. During those years he also began to study dance and at the age of 21 began teaching ballroom dance classes to couples in his home town.

At the age of 23 Nathan moved to Los Angeles to study film where he also continued his yogic and martial studies and inevitably met Kancho Cameron Shayne founder of Budokon®. Nathan had the esteemed privilege of living and studying with Cameron for 5 years while helping him build the Budokon organization. During this time Nathan became one of the first teachers ever certified to teach Budokon public classes. Still one of the highest ranking teachers in the Budokon organization Nathan continues to delight in his exploration and evolution of teaching these life changing art forms to others.

In the last 7 years Nathan has taught in some of the most prestigious studios in the U.S. including Golden Bridge, SMPY, YogaWorks, Exhale, and Equinox. Nathan’s students have included Jamie Lee Curtis, Kristin Davis, Kirsten Heder, Jesse Jackson Jr., Catherine D Lish, & Dita Von Teese. He recently relocated to Portland from Montana.
