Carey came to yoga while pursuing a Ph.D. in biochemistry. Stressed out, overweight, and with a generally unhealthy constitution, yoga guided him back down a path to a balanced, healthy, and fit lifestyle. Yoga brought together the physicality that appealed to his athletic past, the mental rigor that appealed to his intellect, and the meditative quality that encouraged an awareness of how he interacted with the world.
Carey attempts to create a fun, physical, rigorous, and meditative flow in every class he leads. His primary goal is for those in attendance to experience an equal joy in flowing through postures as he receives in guiding them through them. He looks forward to seeing you on the mat and in the neighborhood in the very near future!
